The Croatian Post has offered the philatelic market a new exclusive product- the Year Book of the Croatian Postage Stamp - printed pursuant to the demands and the requirements of modern international philatelic.
For now Year Books for postage stamps issued in 2001 and 2002 have been printed. By doing this the Croatian Post has joined the ranks of numerous postal administrations which for many years have been issuing this kind of product. This represents the crowning moment of philatelic publishing.
The Year Book of the Croatian Postage Stamps is a hard cover book, with jackets coated in shiny plastic in a 23x30cm protective box, in which are arranged a series of postage stamps issued from a particular year. Postage stamps are placed in parchment sacks and can be placed in specified areas in the book.
The Croatian Postage Stamps Year Book has 60 attractively designed pages, with numerous photos and illustrations, including Croatian and English summaries about the motives and themes of the issued postage stamps.
The Year Book is not only a catalogue of issued stamps in one calendar year, but is a monograph about Croatia created through the graphic designs of designer Mr.Hrvoje Sercar in which he visualised and united history, culture and natural heritage including past and present events, which are of particular importance for our country.
A total of 1000 Year Books have been published and are to be sold at counters in post offices for a reasonable price of 33,16 EUR (39,87 US$) per Year Book.
