Croatian Post receives award for its “Digital Postman” application

„Digital Postman” – an example of a public sector project for introducing digital technologies in core business processes

On 12 November 2019, at the annual conference held by Project Management Institute, 2019 PMI Forum, Croatian Post and our colleague, Nikola Kucelj, received the award for distinguished contribution to digitization of state-owned enterprises and business modernisation. The award was given to the “Digital Postman” project, managed by Nikola Kucelj of our Strategy and Business Process Management Office. “Digital Postman” represents a digital solution for delivery services which has contributed to the modernisation and digitization of delivery and postal operations. The project involved digitization of business processes (“green office”), which included processing and delivery of all mail, keeping of digital delivery log and real-time mail tracking. This created the preconditions for upgrading our cashless payment system, ID card scanning, user portal and parcel lockers.
The “Digital Postman” application is an example of a public sector project for introducing digital technologies in core business processes and implementing agile project management methods, which results in immediate benefits for our citizens and allows us to fulfil our mission – to be at the service of citizens.
