MODERN ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN - POSTERS, Radovan Tommaseo
Although new technology has drastically changed the ways of modern communication, poster art still belongs to the most visually attractive media. Its appearance in the second half of the 19th century was conditioned not only by improvement of lithographic printing techniques, but also by the need for modern advertising in public space.
Motifs:
• Poster for Emanuel Vidović’s exhibition, Art Pavilion in Zagreb (1921)
Design: Radovan Tommaseo, Print: Tipografija d.d. Zagreb, 92 x 61 cm
• Poster for magazine Teka, Zagreb (1974)
Design: Mihajlo Arsovski, Screen printing Studio S, 70 x 50 cm
The stamps were issued in 6-stamp sheetlets, and the Croatian Post has also issued a First Day Cover (FDC).
