For 21 consecutive years, Croatian Post has been implementing the selection of the most beautiful edition of the postage stamps of the Republic of Croatia. This year, the stamp entitled Puma the 7th Guards Brigade won the first place. In addition to Croatia, votes also came from Germany, Slovenia, Serbia, Spain, Italy, Macedonia and the USA.
Out of the 41 editions last year, the highest number of votes went to the stamp with the motif of the emblem of the Puma 7th Guards Brigade designed by Živko Skuhala and formatted for the stamp by Dean Roksandić, a designer from Zagreb.
The stamp entitled Olive Trees in Lun authored by Nataša Odak presenting an olive tree from the famous olive grove on the Island of Pag won the second place.
The stamp from the series entitled Bridges and Viaducts authored by Dean Roksandić with the motif of the bridge in Kosinj and viaduct in Limska draga won the third place.
The names of the winners of the prize winning game entitled Select the Most Beautiful Stamp and Win a Valuable Prize were drawn on April 6th at noon at the Croatian Post offices on Jurišićeva ulica in Zagreb.
