Additional services


When mailing a parcel at a post office, you may ask for the following additional services:
  • Return Receipt (evidence of delivery)
  • Collect on Delivery (payment on delivery)
  • Deliver to Addressee Only 
  • Special Handling (fragile contents)
  • Bulky
Return Receipt (evidence of delivery)
If you need a written confirmation that your mail item has been delivered to the addressee, ask for the Return Receipt service at your local post office. This service requires the person accepting the item to confirm receipt with signature, with the signed form returned to your address by post.

Collect on Delivery (payment on delivery)
The easiest way to get payment from the recipient for the mailed item, for example, merchandize sold to the recipient, is by using the Collect of Delivery (COD) service. On delivery of the item, the recipient pays the requested amount to the Croatian Post officer, and the amount received is remitted or transferred to sender’s account. The maximum collectible amount for Collect on Delivery payments is HRK 100,000. In addition to the requested COD amount, the recipient must pay the payment service fee.

Deliver to Addressee Only
Items sent using this extra service are delivered to the addressee in person or his/her legal representative or authorized agent.

Special Handling (fragile contents)
If your parcel contains delicate or fragile articles, ask for the Special Handling service when bringing in your item for shipment. This way you will ensure your parcel is handled with extra care through the entire process of delivery to the destination. If using both the Bulky Parcel and Special Handling services, you will be charged for only one extra service.

Bulky Parcel
Parcels having a non-standard shape or contents (e.g. a bicycle, exhaust pipe or other irregular shaped articles) can be shipped using the Bulky Parcel service. If using both the Bulky Parcel and Special Handling services, you will be charged for only one extra service.
