Krešimir Baranović Krešimir Baranović (b. in Šibenik, 25 July, 1894 - d. Belgrade, 17 September 1975) was one of the most outstanding Croatian composers of the 20th century. He acquired a very profound and extensive musical education in Zagreb, Vienna and Berlin.
Vatroslav Lisinski Vatroslav Lisinski (b.in Zagreb, 8 July, 1819 - d. in Zagreb, 31 May, 1854), a composer who lived and worked in the turbulent time of the Illyrian National Revival, was a man of exquisite talent and fine sensibility. Timid and reserved, he nevertheless heralded the new, romantic period in music to his generation.
The Pauline song-book (1644) is a part of the large script the Pauline codex, which is housed in the National University Library in Zagreb. The codex is a compilation of various liturgical text, religious songs in Latin and in the Kajkavian literary dialect.
